The Yezidi Spiritual Council of Georgia (CRÊG) Establishes the Highest Honorary Order, “The Order of Glory and Honor”
The Yezidi Spiritual Council of Georgia (CRÊG) has approved the establishment of a new order, regarded as the highest honorary distinction, entitled “The Order of Glory and Honor.” This order shall be awarded to individuals and institutions in recognition of their outstanding achievements in the following fields:
• Religious service;
• Theological, academic, and scholarly research activities;
• Charitable and educational work;
• Administrative and financial activities aimed at reviving Yezidi spiritual, cultural, and heritage life;
• As well as other notable contributions and distinguished services rendered to the Yezidi religion and the Yezidi community at large.
The Order of Glory and Honor consists of three grades, and the criteria for awarding it are determined in accordance with the order’s approved statute.
Pursuant to the laws and regulations governing orders and awards adopted by the Yezidi Spiritual Council of Georgia, the Awards Commission is responsible for reviewing nomination requests, preparing and coordinating the relevant documentation, and submitting them to the Council’s leadership for a final decision.
The Awards Commission is composed of seven members of the Yezidi community.
Mrs. Svetlana Mamrashi has been elected Chair of the Awards Commission.
